U.S. 95A between Yerington and Silver Springs now open after rail repairs
U.S. 95 Alternate is now open after temporarily being closed for Union Pacific Railroad rail bed replacement and upgrades.
U.S. 95A was temporarily closed from Sierra Way north of Yerington to just south of Fort Churchill Road near Silver Springs beginning at 12 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 21. The highway reopened at approximately 8 p.m. Sept. 21 after Union Pacific Railroad replaced rail bed in two locations.
Highway travel is now open, with motorists reminded to check NVRoads.com before driving for the most recent highway conditions.
