Carson City Sheriff's Office asks public for any information into pedestrian hit and run crash
The Carson City Sheriff’s Office Traffic Unit is investigating a hit and run crash with major Injury that happened on Sept. 12, 2022 at around 4:50 p.m.
The victim, a 59-year-old female, was walking home from a late lunch and shopping, when she was hit in the crosswalk on South Carson Street near the parking lot of US Foods and Office Depot in Carson City.
The vehicle is a later model 4-door red sedan with an unknown large white sticker on the driver’s side rear window. Witnesses stated the suspect vehicle had temporary Nevada paper plates. Scroll and click on photos to enlarge.
Witnesses also advised the vehicle was driven by a Hispanic female in her 20s to 30s. After the suspect vehicle struck the pedestrian it sped through the parking lot. The suspect vehicle may have minor damage to the front bumper, hood and possibly the windshield.
The victim sustained several broken bones in her leg and arm, and will require six to eight weeks of hospital rehabilitation.
