Carson City area weather: Last day of summer brings sunshine, breezy afternoon conditions
The last day of summer around the capital city region will bring mostly sunny skies, with afternoon breezes and a cool down later Sunday evening into Monday morning, according to the National Weather Service in Reno.
There’s a slight chance of showers overnight. Monday, the first day of fall, will be cooler, but seasonably so, forecasters say. Temperatures will warm again through Wednesday, and then cold temperatures and precipitation chances are possible for next weekend.
Temperatures today, Sunday will be near 80 around the Carson City, Carson Valley and Dayton areas. As the cold front pushes through overnight, temperatures will dip Monday with a daytime high around 70 and night time temperatures in the low 40s before warming up to the upper 70s Tuesday and low 80s Wednesday.
