Witches, goblins, ghouls, oh my! Free ghost story writing workshop at the Carson City Library
There’s a chill in the air, Hocus Pocus is playing on every channel, and everything has become pumpkin-flavored. You know what that means: it’s the start of spooky season!
Do you love ghost stories, horror movies, and general bumps-in-the-night? Have you ever wanted to craft the perfect spooky tale to tell around the fire, or even turn into a novel?
Then join us for Saturday Scaries: a spooky writing workshop hosted at the Carson City Library Saturday, Oct. 21 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
This event is free and welcomes writers from all walks of life, from just beginning to seasoned wordsmiths.
During the workshop, we will discuss the elements of how to craft a frightful good story and use spine-tingling prompts to get the haunting creativity flowing.
All you’ll need to bring is a pen and paper or laptop — anything you choose to write with.
A suggested donation of $5 day-of is appreciated but not required, as we’ll be providing coffee and Halloween candy to bring forth the spooky spirit of the season!
The Carson City Library is located at 900 N. Roop Street in Carson City.
Limited spots are available, so please RSVP today through the following link: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/saturday-scaries-a-spooky-writing-workshop-...
