Carson Creepy returns: Can you make a scary movie in just two weeks?
Carson Creepy is back, Carson City’s annual short-film contest, in which participants have just two weeks to create their spookiest film.
Summer is coming to an end, which means the Halloween season is upon us. Are you a sinister storyteller who loves to create chills?
Good thing, because registration is open now for the Carson Creepy Short Horror Film Competition, which officially begins Sept. 20.
Submission deadline is Oct. 4, with the “Eerie Unveiling” occurring on Oct. 14.
This is open to all creatives, whether experienced in filmmaking or a complete beginner.
Each team, or participant if going solo, will receive film prompts of things their films must contain.
Just want to watch the films? No problem! During the screenings and award ceremony, be sure to wear your best scary costume for the Ghastly Guise Gala, and bring funds for the Whispering Auction, where you can bid on exclusive horror-themed items and support your local filmmakers.
Registration price is $25 per team.
