Eyes on Carson City: Carson Tahoe HopeFest 2017
Hundreds turned out Friday evening in support of the Carson Tahoe Health Foundation's HopeFest 2017, an annual fundraiser that benefits cancer patients and their families.
The seventh annual HopeFest featured live music by Tyrone Wells, several food vendors, and a raffle featuring the grand prize of either a new car from Dick Campagni Auto Group or $10,000 cash.
All proceeds from food, drink, and raffle tickets sales during HopeFest go directly to funding the basic needs of cancer patients outside of the hospital.
Carson Tahoe Health Foundation has helped to establish and maintain housing for cancer patients and their family members in the Merriner Cottages. It also assists patients and their families with the costs of travel, insurance co-pays, and life-saving medications.
Since 2011, Carson Tahoe Health Foundation has provided more than $439,000 in direct patient support.
