Downtown Carson City Third and Curry Street improvement project underway
Work has begun on Curry Street between Musser and 5th Street which includes the reconstruction of the 3rd Street parking lot in downtown Carson City.
The project consists of utility replacements, paving of the parking lot, sidewalk improvements, landscaping, lighting upgrades, and the under grounding of overhead power lines.
This week, Curry Street between 2nd Street and 5th Street will be closed, Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for road work. Pedestrian detours will also be in place. Please plan accordingly.
Curry Street and the 3rd Street Parking Lot are anticipated to have substantial completion by Nevada Day. The majority of the street patching, parking lot paving and concrete sidewalk improvements are planned to be completed prior to the Nevada Day Parade.
Other minor improvements such as landscaping, benches, and other minor furnishings will achieve completion by the end of the calendar year.
