Carson City Sheriff's deputy shot during domestic disturbance call
UPDATED: A Carson City Sheriff's deputy was killed in a shooting early Saturday morning during an exchange of gunfire on the northeast side of Carson City. The suspect also died, said Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong. A Carson City Sheriff's deputy was critically injured during an exchange of gunfire on Mondtez Drive on the northeast side of Carson City Saturday morning at around 3 a.m.
The area has been cordoned off and the Carson City Sheriff crime lab unit, Nevada Highway Patrol and Douglas County Sheriff deputies are on the scene. More details to follow.

"I live in east Carson and was up at about 2:30AM this AM (Sat 8-15-15) and heard 10-15 shoots fired followed by multiple sirens over the next 45 minutes and also a helicopter flying north along what looked like the freeway & east on hwy 50."
