Carson City emergency crews called to rollover off Curry Street near railroad museum
Carson City Fire Department and sheriff's deputies responded early Thursday evening to a single vehicle rollover off of Curry Street near Rhodes Street.
The crash was reported shortly after 6 p.m. At least two people are injured, with one person reportedly breathing but unconscious. A Care Flight air ambulance was ordered.
The rollover is believed to have happened from the west facing hillside where the vehicle may have been off-roading, according to first responders at the scene. First reports to dispatch was there were three occupants in the vehicle.
Two of the occupants were outside the vehicle when first responders arrived with a third inside the vehicle, breathing but unconscious.
The location of the rollover is off Curry Street behind the Nevada State Railroad Museum. The vehicle was not blocking Curry, according to a first responder on scene.
Motorists were advised to avoid the area due to emergency vehicles at the scene.
The seriously injured victim was transported from the scene by ambulance to the DMV off of Stewart Street where they were then flown to the trauma ward at Renown Medical Center in Reno. The cause is under investigation.
