Man arrested after drug team finds 300 pounds of pot trim at South Lake Tahoe home
A South Lake Tahoe man was arrested early Thursday by South Lake Tahoe, El Dorado County Narcotics Enforcement Team officers after they served a search warrant and found around 300 pounds of marijuana plant trimmings.
Dwayne Allan Crenshaw, 36, was arrested at his Fresno Avenue home and is accused of using the trimmings to create concentrated cannabis oils through several methods, including butane fuel extraction, a dangerous process that can cause an explosion and is a felony in California.
Agents found 180 expended and 65 partially-used butane fuel canisters. They seized 10 ounces of concentrated cannabis in addition to the marijuana trimmings.
Crenshaw was released on bail from the El Dorado County Jail in South Lake Tahoe.
