Nevada Humane Society, Carson City's Pet of the Week: Honey
Happy Wednesday, Carson City, and say hello to our Pet of the Week, Honey.
Honey is a 2-year-old guinea pig, one of several guinea pigs who were recently surrendered to both Nevada Humane Society shelters.
Honey is very cute and fluffy with rare red eyes! She is currently learning to love being held, and would do great with a home that gives her lots of healthy treats and space to stretch her adorably tiny legs.
She would love to be handled more by someone who is patient enough to teach her how to interact calmly with humans.
Let's hear from Honey herself!
"My name is Honey because I am sweet as can be! I want someone to take me home and give me the love I deserve!"
Our annual Duck Race Festival is coming up so soon, Aug. 12. This event takes place at Wingfield Park in Reno. It’s one of the biggest fundraisers for homeless pets at Nevada Humane Society. You can purchase rubber ducks at https://duckrace.com/reno for a chance to win a new 2023 Toyota Corolla or $15,000 cash, all generously donated by Carson City Toyota. Come on down and meet Honey by visiting the Carson City campus of the Nevada Humane Society located at 549 Airport Road in Carson City, or by calling (775) 887-2171 to find out more.
