Carson City deputies make weekend arrests for child endangerment, DUI, possession of controlled substances

A 43-year-old woman was arrested Sunday for two felony counts of battery on a protected person, a felony count of child abuse and neglect and a misdemeanor for driving under the influence according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report.

According to the report, at around 7:29 p.m a deputy was dispatched to an accident with injury in Carson City. Dispatch advised that there was a white SUV with airbag deployment, a conscious woman in the driver’s seat and a male lying on the ground holding his chest.

The woman, identified as Danielle Hull, had crashed into a blue Subaru and the 14-year-old male had jumped out of the car because he said he feared for his life as Hull started driving recklessly.

Hull told medics in the ambulance that she had been drinking and was drunk and the male reported that she had been celebrating her birthday in Mills Park and was drinking since 1 p.m. all day before dropping everyone off at 7 p.m.

The deputy obtained a warrant to get a blood test to see if Hull was drunk. Hull had agreed to a blood test, saying she was driving under the influence, but when the phlebotomist tried to take her blood, Hull hid her arms behind her back. The deputy warned that he could use reasonable force and she still refused. The deputy, two security guards and a nurse tried to hold Hull down, but Hull was squirming.

The deputy then reasoned with her and Hull agreed if they let her go she would give a sample. Once they let her go, Hull hid her arms again and the deputy tried to get her under control when she punched the deputy twice and kicked him and kicked another person trying to hold Hull down. Hull was then sedated and two vials of blood were taken from Hull around 8:41 p.m.

After Hull woke up from sedation and was medically cleared, she was transported and booked into Carson City Jail without incident. Bail: $71,137
