Carson City sheriff's deputies make drug, warrant related arrests

A 32-year-old man was arrested Tuesday in the 400 block of South Saliman Road on drug related charges and carrying a concealed weapon, a Carson City sheriff's report said.

Hector Haro of Minden was taken into custody at 3 p.m. for two counts suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, gross misdemeanor carrying a concealed weapon, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

During the investigation regarding him refusing to leave an apartment after being asked to prior, the man confirmed his identity and was detained. He stated he had a handgun in his front waistband, the arrest report states.

Meanwhile, dispatch confirmed he had a failure to appear warrant out of Lyon County. A search was conducted where deputies located a small bag of methamphetamine, one opened strip of Suboxone, and one unopened strip of Suboxone. Another small bag of meth and a glass pipe were found inside a sunglasses case, the report states. He was arrested. Total bail amount listed: $8,637.

— A Reno man, Dominic Bertone, was booked into Carson City Jail for a felony warrant alleging fraudulent use of a credit card and two counts possession of a credit card without permission. The warrant was issued June 14, 2019 out of Carson City Justice Court. The bond amount is $5,000.

— A 55-year-old Carson City man was arrested early Wednesday for a misdemeanor failure to appear warrant out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $200.

— A 31-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Monday in the 4900 block of August Drive for misdemeanor violation of bail conditions. According to the arrest report, the woman was on Department of Alternative Sentencing with an order to not have contact with a male at the residence. The woman was located at the residence. DAS requested she be arrested for violation of conditions. Bail: $3,000.

— A 66-year-old Carson City man was booked into jail Monday for a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant issued July 30, 2019 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $500.

After training exercises last month by the Carson City Fire Department, the old Thurman Ranch House, a family and basque style steak house that closed in 2013, is being cleared out.
