Nevada's Department of Admin shows appreciation for employees in big Carson City cook-out
After two years of fundraising events from bake sales to their jeans day event, the Department of Administration, Activities Committee was finally able to throw their long planned employee appreciation event Thursday afternoon in the grassy lot across from the State Archives building in Carson City.
Complete with music, a smoker that sent plumes of mouth-watering smoke across a few city blocks, and a raffle, the event was long awaited.
Out of the 450-some-odd employees, 338 were scheduled to attend.
Some of the food included pulled pork sandwiches, barbecue chicken sandwiches, and delicious paella.
Raffle prizes included a spa day, a Glen Eagles gift card, and even a big fancy flat screen television.
