Carson City's Redevelopment Authority Citizens Committee is looking to fill two volunteer positions
The Carson City Board of Supervisors is seeking applications from persons interested in serving on the Redevelopment Authority Citizens Committee.
There are two open positions: one business or property owner in redevelopment area 1 and one business operator or property owner in redevelopment area 2.
The redevelopment area 1 position is a partial term that will expire January 2026.
The redevelopment area 2 position is for a partial term that will expire January 2025.
The Committee’s primary purpose is to make recommendations to the Redevelopment
Authority on Redevelopment Area Plans, incentive programs, special event funding and other matters pertaining to the Redevelopment District.
Applicants should be aware that a minimum commitment of up to ten hours a month is expected. All members will serve without compensation. Applicants must be Carson City registered voters.
Let it be known that all applications submitted to this office will be considered public information.
Applications will be accepted until August 21. Interviews for the volunteer position will be tentatively scheduled for the September 7, Board of Supervisors meeting.
