About Friends of the Carson City Library
The Carson City Library opened its doors in June 1966. Since then, the Friends of the Carson City Library has given its support to many library projects and much-needed acquisitions. Browsers Corner Book Store is the major fundraising mechanism for the Friends, which donates all net proceeds to the library. Funds are used to pay for programs such as Summer Learning and National Library Week activities. Friends also supplies much of the library’s book and e-book collection as well as helps update software and new computers.
