Carson City deputies arrest man for unlawful occupancy; was seen inside former apartment
A 28-year-old man was arrested Monday for suspicion of unlawful occupancy, a gross misdemeanor offense, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report.
Deputies were dispatched to the Dolphin Bay Apartments on Monday for a suspect who had been inside a residence and was last seen running on Silver Oak.
A deputy spoke with he property manager who advised a new tenant had moved into the apartment where the suspect had been previously occupying the apartment. The manager provided a photo of the suspect. The deputy spoke with the new tenant who confirmed the suspect was the individual inside the apartment when he arrived.
Later, dispatch advised of a suspicious subject in the 2700 block of Northgate Lane who matched the description of the suspect.
A deputy arrived on scene and located the suspect sitting on a half-wall. The suspect was read his Miranda warning and he chose not to speak. He was arrested for suspicion of unlawful occupancy. Bail: $2,137.
In other arrests:
— A 37-year-old Reno man, Jared Edward Beebe, was booked Monday for a felony parole and probation hold, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report. No bail hold.
— A 27-year-old Carson City man was arrested for misdemeanor violation of suspended sentence warrant issued out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $3,000 cash.
