Carson City Library receives books as Bee City No. 76 wraps up Pollinator Month
As the 76th Bee City in the country, Carson City wraps up a month of events and activities encouraging residents and businesses to “Bee Friendly, Protect Pollinators.” As a culmination of Pollinator Month, Bee City officials are donating four copies of a pollination landscaping book to the Carson City Library Wednesday, June 30 at 2 p.m. Mayor Bagwell and city officials will attend the book presentation joining Bee City officials.
“We hope that this month of activities and events has brought a new level of awareness for the importance of bees in our community and environment,” Maria Klesta, creative learning manager for the Carson City Library, said. “Having these books available at the library ensurea that anyone who wants to use this resource will have it at their fingertips.”
