Sunset through the eyes of a child
Sometimes the most beautiful things can be seen through the eyes of a child. Occasionally, those eyes can capture that beauty on camera.
On the evening of this year's Summer Solstice a few days ago, my god-son, Skylar, wanted to experiment with our camera.
As children often do, Skylar wanted to mimic my wife and I as we snapped off shots of nature's beauty in the skies above us.
I handed the six-year-old our less expensive camera and said, "shoot away."
And so he did.
These shots represent his work alone.
No one coached him or edited his work, except for some minor cropping. He just pointed and clicked.
Either Skylar just got lucky, or he appears to have a knack for capturing beauty on camera.
Personally, I think he takes after his Auntie Lisa.
His animal photography is pretty good, too, as the other photos in this collection demonstrate.
