Carson Tahoe Transitional Rehabilitation Center receives 5-star rating from CMS

Prestige Care is pleased to recognize its skilled nursing centers for achieving a “Five-Star Overall Rating” by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Among them is Carson Tahoe Transitional Rehabilitation Center in Carson City.
Eight Prestige centers in three states earned the highest rating from CMS based on the centers’ much above average performance in several measurable areas of quality and safety.

The center specializes in short-term, transitional care that bridges the gap between hospital and home. Its two-story, 98,000 square foot center features a high-tech rehabilitation gym designed to provide our patients with the highest quality of care.
Whether individuals need post-acute care after an unplanned hospitalization or recovery assistance after a planned surgery, Carson Tahoe Transitional Rehabilitation Center supports them with all clinical and rehabilitation needs. Its Clinical Team is skilled and experienced in assisting patients in a wide range of diagnoses while offering continued support throughout the healing process. The team is comprised of a physician, nurse practitioner, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, registered dietitian, and Certified Nursing Assistants. In addition to short-term post hospitalization care, the center offers specialty skilled nursing and long-term/ongoing care when a patient’s care needs are no longer able to be met at a lower level of care.

Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services created the Five-Star Quality Rating System to help consumers, their families and caregivers easily compare skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers. The Centers’ Nursing Home Care Compare website features a quality rating system that gives each skilled nursing center a rating between one and five stars. Centers with five stars are considered to be significantly above average in health inspections, staffing and quality measures.
