Carson City Fire Department called to structure fire on Rawhide Way
UPDATE 9:30PM: A fire that started in the kitchen area of a Rawhide Way residence and spread into the attic was quickly knocked down Tuesday night, said Carson City Fire Department Battalion Chief Tom Raw.
It started as a cooking fire and went into the exhaust system, extending into the attic, he said. It was knocked down within 15 minutes upon arrival.

Carson City Fire Department was called early Tuesday evening to a structure fire in the 300 block of Rawhide Way. The call came into dispatch at 7:30 p.m. with a report of smoke coming from the residence, according to dispatch.
Carson City Fire Department has made the fire a working incident, calling for additional units.
Rawhide Way is between East Telegraph and Goldfield Avenue.
A fire investigator has been called to the scene. Carson City firefighters report extinguishing the fire at around 7:45 p.m.
