Carson City woman arrested twice in one day for domestic battery
A 38-year-old Carson City woman was arrested twice in one day for two separate incidents of domestic battery against her boyfriend.
According to the report, deputies were first dispatched to a Silver Oak residence around 6:30 a.m. in reference to a domestic dispute call.
Upon arrival, deputies could hear a man and woman arguing from one of the apartments, and could hear a woman telling a man to leave, and a man telling the woman to “Shut the f*** up.”
Deputies made contact with the couple. The man told deputies that the woman had thrown a toy at him, hitting him in the lip with it. He had a small red mark on his lip and scratch marks on his back.
The woman told deputies that she and the man, who had been in a dating relationship on and off for the past year, had gotten in an argument that morning over a doctor’s appointment. She said the man had ripped a shelf off the wall and she “slapped and pushed” him.
Deputies looked at the wall where the shelf had been, and determined “it idd not appeals to have been ripped out.” The man stated the shelf fell and the woman slapped him.
Deputies determined the woman to be the primary physical aggressor and took her into custody.
However, at 10 p.m. the woman was released from custody and approximately 30 minutes later, deputies were once again dispatched to the residence on report of domestic battery.
When they arrived, the woman had left, and the man had redness around his neck along with a small laceration, and his shirt had been ripped off of him.
He told deputies the woman had become upset with him over a cigarette and attacked him.
Deputies called the woman, who told deputies she was not going to meet with deputies because she “did not want to go to jail again.”
Deputies left the residence to attempt to locate the woman, and a short distance away they saw a vehicle turn onto Silver Oak Dr. from N. Carson St. at a high rate of speed. Deputies clocked the vehicle driving 40 mph in a 25 mph zone, and cross over a double yellow line.
Deputies stopped the vehicle and took her back into custody. She told deputies she never touched the man, and could not explain how he had come by his injuries.
Deputies told her she was not allowed to contact the man or go to the residence to which she responds that “it was her house and she was allowed to go there,” according to the report.
She was arrested again on domestic battery, failure to maintain a lane, and speeding.
Bail: $3,316
