Carson City deputies arrest man for suspected DUI, says he thought he was at Tahoe
A 22-year-old Carson City man was arrested early Wednesday morning for suspicion of misdemeanor DUI and careless driving.
According to the booking report, a deputy was dispatched to the park and ride at Highway 50 west and South Carson Street for a suspicious vehicle. The deputy arrived and observed a pickup that was running and parked up against a Jeep.
The officer knocked several times on the window and the door in an attempt to wake the male subject.
The man eventually woke up and opened the door, where the deputy then asked that he step out of the vehicle. The deputy could smell a strong odor of alcohol coming from the man, who also had bloodshot and watery eyes, the report states.
Deputies were able to identify the man and asked if he was OK and if he knew where he was at. The man replied Lake Tahoe, the report states.
The man agreed to a series of standardized field sobriety tests and was asked what he thought the time was. He said around 12:30 a.m. The officer advised the actual time was 4:39 a.m. The man advised he had three beers and smoked 2 hits of marijuana at around 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday night.
The deputy administered sobriety tests where the man showed signs of impairment. He provided a preliminary breath test of .199 and was arrested for suspicion of DUI. At jail he consented to a breath test, with evidentiary results of .147 and .143. Bail: $1,379.

— A 33-year-old Carson City woman, Christy Pasillas, was arrested Tuesday for suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail: $3,637.
— A 30-year-old Fallon man was booked Wednesday for three misdemeanor warrants, 2 failure to appear warrants out of Lyon County and a contempt of court warrant out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $4,640.
— A 27-year-old man was booked Wednesday for a probation violation warrant issued Jan. 27, 2020 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $3,000 cash.
