Veteran opportunities featured at Carson City JobConnect employment fair
Carson City JobConnect will host a Job Club kick-off event in June specific to local veterans. The day will include an Informational and networking meeting in the morning and afternoon job fair.
This first of what will be regular monthly Job Club meetings will be held Thursday, June 21, at the Training Room inside the Carson City JobConnect Office, 1929 N Carson Street.
Carson City JobConnect will welcome Nick Weathers, representative for Helmets to Hardhats, Dian VanderWell, Trades Apprenticeship Recruiter for NNACA, Kathy Halbardier from JOIN and Mallory Michael from VRC.
There is limited seating for the Job Club kickoff event. RSVP for the Veterans Job Club to reserve space for this by contacting Melisa at (775) 684-0482.
JobConnect Veteran Services representatives, Melisa Maxey and Jason Coleman, will provide information about JobConnect services and helping prepare attendees for the job fair in the afternoon.
The employment event has been specifically organized to follow the Job Club where veterans may attend beginning at 11 a.m. Carson City JobConnect will have up to eight employers participating and interested in speaking with qualified Veterans about current job openings.
