Carson City Sheriff's Office Initiative '101 Days of Summer' addresses traffic warrants
The Carson City Sheriff’s Office is teaming up with the Carson City Justice Courts and its judges, Judge Lewis, and Judge Armstrong. If you or anyone you know has an outstanding traffic warrant (non-criminal) with a bail under $1,000 you may contact the Carson City Justice Court Clerks Office to be placed on the calendar for a court date.
Individuals are asked to appear at the Justice/Municipal Court on Mondays and Tuesdays at 1:15 p.m. If you are placed on the calendar and you do not show up for your scheduled court date, the Court would have to reissue the warrant.
This is an opportunity for anyone with a minor non-criminal traffic warrant to make arrangements with the courts to be placed on a calendar rather than being taken into custody while out in public or law enforcement contact. If you are stopped by law enforcement, and you still have a warrant you will be arrested.
The courts have agreed to run this program until June 15th, 2021. Any questions please contact the Carson City Justice Court Clerk’s office at 775-887-2082.
