Me-MEOW-ial Day Sale at Carson City shelter brings cats and kittens of all sizes
The Nevada Humane Society’s Carson City shelter is helping interested pet owners find a new furry friend during the Me-MEOW-ial Day sale from May 25-27.
Nevada Humane Society is waiving the adoption fee on all cats and kittens in need of a home in locations at Carson City and Reno. They hope to clear its shelters of all cats this weekend, which allows the shelters to save even more lives throughout Northern Nevada.
“It is very important to find these cats and kitties a home,” said Lisa Russell, manager of the Carson City shelter. “We’ve had some of these guys for quite a while and we’re really trying to help them find the perfect home.”
Cats, kittens and dogs are treated with plenty of care. All breeds are spayed and neutered, vaccinated and microchipped before they are adopted. These services would normally cost over $200.
The Carson City shelter has dozens of cats and kittens that will make the perfect companion to any home.
“I think the sale will help tremendously,” Russell said. “It’s good to let the people know we are here and these cats are treated with great care before they find a home.”
