Carson City deputies arrest man for warrant after witness called to report him sleeping in his car
A 26-year-old Reno man was arrested Thursday afternoon on a failure to appear warrant after a witness called the police reporting the man was sleeping inside of his car.
According to the arrest report, the witness stated the man had been sleeping in his car since approximately 7 a.m.
When deputies arrived, they knocked on the window and woke him up. Dispatch advised the man had a warrant for failing to appear in Reno Municipal Court.
Deputies took the man into custody without incident. The vehicle was left for the man’s wife to pick up later in the day.
Bail: $1,934 cash only
– A 36-year-old transient man was transferred to the Carson City Jail by Pershing County Sheriff deputies on a warrant issued out of Carson City for contempt of court. The man was booked without incident.
Bail: $1,000 cash only
