Carson City’s Pink Elephant Kitchen to begin serving meal plans, frozen sauces June 1; restaurant to cease dine-in, take-out
Carson City’s newest Thai restaurant, Pink Elephant Kitchen, will be changing their business model beginning June 1, according to owner Birdie Harthano.
Through the month of May, customers will still be welcome to dine in or take out, but after June, Harthano has chosen to switch to a new business model that focuses more on manufacturing their Thai curry sauces, which are available for purchase frozen.
Through May, their hours will remain the same, Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
In addition, Pink Elephant is also looking into offering a weekly meal plan prep kits, which customers can pick up to cook at home, and will change each week.
“Everything will remain organic as usual,” said Harthano.
Pink Elephant will also be found at local farmers markets from Carson City, to Reno, and Lake Tahoe.
“We just want to thank all of our customers who have come in, and we would like to ask everyone to follow us on Facebook and Instagram for updates to our schedule and where we’ll go from here,” said Harthano.
Pink Elephant Kitchen opened in February in the former Lily’s China Bistro located at 1280 S. Carson Street in Carson City. They will remain at that location while they switch to mainly focusing on manufacturing their sauces.
