Carson City Humane Society’s Pets of the Week: Leia and Socks
Happy Wednesday, Carson City! Hope you’re enjoying this beautiful weather, but you know what would make it that much more enjoyable? Sharing it with a couple of new pals!
Meet Leia and Socks a pair of eight-year-old black lab mixes that are bonded to one another. This dynamic duo is available for adoption at the Carson City Shelter.
What this means is that because Leia and Socks have been together their whole life, they have become best buds and do everything together. At this stage of their life, a home together would be ideal because they rely on each other for comfort and support. We want this pair to have the best chance possible finding their new furever homes, so we are hoping to find them a home that has enough love to give both dogs!
We think this duo would do best in a quiet home with children over the age of six as long as they can meet each other first. They can also go home with other dogs similar in size as long as they can first get acquainted but should find a furever home without small dogs or cats.
Let’s hear from Socks herself!
"Leia and I, are a dynamic duo that have been together forever and we'd like to keep it that way. You see, we do everything together, share meals, nap, and of course play! Don't worry though, we have room in our hearts for humans too, so consider us double the love. No one can deny attention like that! Meet us today!"
If you are looking to adopt and have enough love to spread around for two great dogs, then come meet with Leia and Socks today. They could be the best friends you have been missing.
