Nevada Day Golf Tournament hits the green Saturday at Silver Oak Golf Course in Carson City
The annual Nevada Day Golf Tournament was held Saturday with several teams coming out to support the silver state’s biggest celebration.
Over 25 teams signed up to support this annual event, which provides a portion of the funds raised to the high school bands throughout the state to assist with their travel to the Nevada Day Parade in October, while the remainder of the funds supports the Nevada Day Parade.
The event was held at Silver Oak Golf Course, which was the first tournament of the year for the course according to Nevada Day.
The shotgun start began at 8 a.m. after breakfast burritos were provided by Black Bear Diner, and, after the game, Firehouse Subs provided lunch for the golfers.
