Spider-Man spotted playing chess in downtown Carson City
Even superheroes take a little time for themselves.
The Amazing Spider-Man, who has been spotted around Carson City over the past several months, took some time out of his day Saturday afternoon for a game of chess in front of Comma Coffee on North Carson Street.
Ever the friendly neighbor, Spider-Man waved to passers by as he contemplated his next moves.
Asked if he would be amenable to a news story, the Marvel web crawler said he would as long as it was a "web" interview. He agreed to correspond via email with this writer at a time of his choosing.
It's unlikely that Spider-Man will reveal his true identity, but he said he would like people to know why he does what he does in the Nevada state capital.
"I never take my mask off," he said. "I have my reasons."
So stay tuned, Spidey fans. A story on your friendly, neighborhood Carson City Spider-Man may be forthcoming.
