Carson City arrests: Man booked for suspicion of second DUI
A 43-year-old man was arrested Sunday for suspicion of misdemeanor second DUI, driving without a valid driver's license and failure to maintain a lane, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report.
According to the report, a deputy was dispatched to the area of Airport Road and Menlo Drive for a vehicle crash, the deputy described as minor, involving two vehicles.
The driver of one of the vehicles, was medically evaluated and cleared. The deputy observed the man had trouble standing without assistance and was swaying from side to side. His eyes were red and watery, and at one point, the man belched where the deputy could smell an overwhelming odor of alcoholic beverage coming from his person.
The deputy asked the man if he would consent to a preliminary breath test. The man declined. He was arrested for suspicion of DUI. The deputy completed a telephonic warrant request with a judge, who granted a search to take blood from the man. Bail: $2,916.

— A 21-year-old Carson City man was arrested early Monday for suspicion of DUI, open container in vehicle and speeding.
According to the booking report, at approximately 1:12 a.m. a deputy observed an SUV traveling southbound on Carson Street rapidly catching up to a vehicle in front of it. The suspect vehicle was traveling 34 mph in a 25 mph zone.
The deputy initiated a traffic stop at Washington and Carson Streets in a motel parking lot and made contact with the male driver and a male passenger. The driver identified himself by his driver's license.
The man initially stated that he did not consume any alcohol but then admitted to having one "Twisted Tea" at 8 p.m. The officer could see a "Twisted Tea" in the center cup holder partially covered up by clothing, which was 1/3 full. The man submitted to standardized field sobriety tests and showed signs of impairment. He provided a preliminary breath test with a .131 result. He was arrested. At jail he provided evidentiary breath tests of .099 and .100. Bail: $1,421.
— A 26-year-old man, Scott Arthur Henderson, was arrested Monday in the area of North Fall and David Street for suspicion of possession of a controlled substance (suspected methamphetamine). Bail: $2,500.
— A 36-year old Hawthorne woman was arrested Monday for suspicion of misdemeanor violation of parole and probation conditions. Bail, $3,000 cash.
— A 46-year-old woman was arrested Monday for a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant issued April 11, 2022 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $1,000.
