Hitchcock inspired mystery thriller for passengers to solve aboard Virginia Truckee Railroad
What do the Virginia Truckee Railroad, a crop duster, Mt. Rushmore, a cool blonde, a kidnapping, and Cary Grant all have in common? Movie buffs may recognize some of the key elements to the classic Hitchcock movie, North by Northwest.
Now the theme for our latest Mystery Train Thriller adapted loosely by Fun Time Players and premiering Saturday, May 4th at 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
It is the story of Roger Thornhill, a Madison Avenue advertising executive who becomes entangled in a web of espionage and mistaken identity.
The plot thickens when Thornhill is mistaken for a government agent by a group of foreign spies. They kidnap Thornhill, believing him to be the agent named George Kaplan, who doesn't actually exist but was fabricated by the government as a decoy. Thornhill manages to escape and sets out to clear his name. Along the way, he encounters the beautiful Eve, who may or may not be working for the enemy.
Add in a train ride, some white wine or beer and delicious snacks and you have a perfect way to spend a spring afternoon with your friends and family.
Tickets are $56 and available at www.virginiatruckee.com. All trains depart from our original 1870’s depot at 166 F Street in Virginia City, NV.
