Carson City Humane Society's Pet of the Week: Maya
Happy Thursday, Carson City! The sun is shining and the trails are calling, why not bring along a new friend?
Maya was surrendered to the Humane Society when her previous owners were no longer able to care for her and were promised to find her a happy new home.
Maya is a six-year-old German Shepherd currently available for adoption at the Carson City Shelter.
Although she is a bit more reserved and takes a little time to warm up to strangers, Maya is a true sweetheart.
She would do best in a home with older children over the age of 10. She can go home with other dogs her size, as that is who she feels most comfortable around.
Introductions to cats living in the home should be taken slowly and be supervised.
If you are looking for a smart and adventurous companion that may just need a little more time to warm up to you, then come meet with Maya today!
Let's hear from Maya herself!
“Hey you! Yes, YOU! I’m a bit shy at first, but I'm not afraid to ask for what I want, and that's YOU! I'm a single female seeking a loving family. My needs are simple: nights on the couch watching movies (or Jeopardy), a good meal, some exercise (I repeat, some, not a lot) and the occasional toy. I'm social, but I can also be quiet. I guess you could say I sometimes need my 'me time.' So, what do you say? Come meet me today.”
