Carson City Fire Department announces recent promotions and retirement
The Carson City Fire Department announced recent promotions and retirements in March.
In retirements, Carson City Fire battalion chief Scott Baker, hired by CCFD in 1990, retired after more than three decades of service.
In recent posts to social media, CCFD announced Sam Saunders was promoted to Fire Captain.
"He has been a leader in CCFD and L2251 and works tirelessly to make the department the great organization it is," said CCFD in its Facebook post.
Also noted was the promotion of Battalion Chief Chris Mason, "who has been a leader and mentor at CCFD for nearly 20 years. We look forward to more great things from Battalion Chief Mason."
CCFD also celebrated the promotion and badge pinning of Dustin Peterson to Driver Operator. Dustin has been a Firefighter Paramedic with Carson City for 10 years. In January his brother Clay Peterson was also promoted to Driver Operator.
