Reno VA offers COVID-19 vaccinations to all veterans, spouses, eligible caregivers and dependents
VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System in Reno is now providing COVID-19 vaccines to all veterans, their spouses, eligible caregivers and Civilian Health and Medical Program beneficiaries.
Under the U.S Save Lives Act criteria, VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System is offering COVID-19 vaccines on a first come, first serve, walk-in basis, dependent upon vaccine availability. If you are a veteran not yet enrolled, although not required, it is helpful if you bring your DD-214 (separation papers) with you.
If you are already an eligible, VA healthcare-enrolled veteran and wish to schedule a COVID-19 vaccine appointment, please call us during business hours from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday at 775-786-7200. Or, you can walk-in between 8:30-11:30 a.m. and 1-3 p.m.
COVID-19 vaccines are available currently at the Reno VA Medical Center located at 975 Kirman Avenue in Reno. Staff asks those who seek vaccines to enter the main entrance and go to Primary Care to complete the initial paperwork and receive your vaccine.
VA Sierra Nevada Health Care advises that if vaccine sessions are filled on a day you walk-in, staff will schedule you for the soonest open appointment that accommodates your calendar.
