Two Carson City businesses cited for selling alcohol to minors
An alcohol compliance check Friday, March 28 at 37 local businesses that sell alcoholic beverages had two establishments that failed the compliance test, according to the Carson City Sheriff's Office.
The businesses were Terrible’s, Chevron located at 4340 South Carson Street and the West Side Pour House at 110 Telegraph Street. Both businesses were cited for furnishing alcohol to minors, said Carson City Sheriff's Office Sgt. Scott McDaniel.
Juveniles participating in the Enforcing Underage Drinking Laws program attempted to buy alcohol using their actual identification cards or driver's licenses, said Scott McDaniel.
The sheriff’s office routinely conducts these checks with grant money received from the Nevada Juvenile Programs Justice Office. Typically citations are issued and classes are offered for server training.
