Carson City area weather: Sunshine and warming through weekend, possible changes by Monday
Sunny skies and warming spring weather will continue throughout the Carson City region through Easter Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.
High pressure will continue to build over the region, bringing dry weather, warm temperatures, and gusty southwest afternoon winds through Saturday, forecasters say.
Daytime highs around Carson City, Carson Valley and central Lyon County will be in the mid 60s Wednesday and low 70s Thursday through Sunday.
For the Lake Tahoe Basin, sunny skies and warming will continue, with daytime highs around 60 Thursday through Sunday, with cooler temperatures in the higher elevations of the Sierra.
NWS forecasters say a low pressure system may push into the west coast Easter Sunday bringing stronger winds, with a chance for mountain snow and valley rain showers beginning Monday.
