Discussions held today on creating the Nevada State Holocaust Museum
Carson City, NV – At a time of rising anti-Semitism, intolerance, and discrimination, AB 257 is the first step in Nevada to promote mutual respect and understanding and to make Holocaust education and genocide awareness priority through the establishment of the Nevada State Holocaust Museum.
The Museum’s primary mission will be to advance and disseminate knowledge about the Holocaust; to preserve the memory of those who suffered; to encourage its visitors to reflect upon the events of the Holocaust and serve as a center of active learning for Nevadans of all ages and all backgrounds, cultivating a sense of moral responsibility among our residents and inspire respect, tolerance, and mutual understanding.
It is our hope that this museum will serve as a living memorial to the Holocaust and will inspire Nevadans statewide to confront hatred and promote human dignity. Assemblywoman Lisa Krasner is the sponsor of AB257.
Please join us this Friday, March 29, 2019 at the Nevada Legislature in Carson City, and help make this vision into a reality:
