Welcome Easter Bunny: All the egg hunt events in Carson City and beyond
Maybe if we all collectively put our faith in the Easter Bunny he'll bring sunshine and flowers and true spring with him when our colored eggs are deposited! Let's take a look at all the ways you can enjoy the (hopefully) warm weather that will (hopefully) be here by Easter.
Carson City
— An early Easter Egg Hunt will take place at the Children’s Museum of Northern Nevada on Sunday, April 2 beginning at 1:30. The hunts are broken into age groups: 0-3 from 1:30 to 2:15 p.m.; 4-6 from 2:45 to 3:30 p.m., and 7-10 from 4 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. In addition to eggs and candy, there will be prizes, a photo booth, playtime, and more. — Underwater Egg Hunt at Carson City Aquatic Center April 8. All ages and free to attend, the hunt kicks off at 2 p.m. with registration required. For more information, click here.
— Carson City Spring Eggstravaganza at the Nevada State Museum takes place April 8 and 9. Museum admission applies and is free for children and teens under 18; the train will be going as well from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and numerous games, activities, and can be found throughout the grounds. Douglas County
— Johnson Lane Volunteer Fire Department’s annual Easter Egg Hunt is back Sunday, April 9 beginning at 9 a.m. Categories are broken into age groups with 1-4, 5-9 and 10+ given their own slots. The station will also be offering coffee and morning pastries, and shirts will be for sale from previous years. All proceeds go back to the station. For more information, please click here.
— Genoa Lakes Golf Club is hosting an egg hunt and family brunch on Sunday, April 9 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a chance to take photos with the Easter Bunny. The event is $10 per person, and $45 per person for brunch. Genoa Lakes Golf Club is located at 1 Genoa Lakes Dr., Genoa.
— David Walley’s is hosting an Easter Festival Sunday, April 9 with live music, easter egg hunts, egg decorating, games, face painting, and a chance to meet the Easter Bunny! — An underwater egg hunt will be held at the Carson Valley Swim Center Sunday, April 9 with different pools for different ages, and swimmers will have the chance to meet the Easter Bunny! Washoe Valley
Easter Egg Hunt at Washoe Lake. The South Valley Volunteer Fire Department is hosting an Easter Egg Hunt in the Washoe Lake State Park. The Easter Bunny arrives at 2 p.m. and the hunt begins at 2:30 p.m. Food and drink will be available for purchase, and a donation of at least $5 is asked to help cover the cost of supplies.
