Capital City Brewfest set for June return to downtown Carson City
Celebrate the start of summer at the Capital City Brewfest. This year’s event takes place on Saturday, June 25 from 3 to 8 p.m. along Curry Street and McFadden Plaza in downtown Carson City. The annual event, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Carson City and The Fox Brewpub, was cancelled in 2021 due to poor air quality, and in 2020 because of COVID restrictions.
Event organizer and Rotarian Jim Gray predicts this year’s Brewfest will be the best ever. “People are really ready to celebrate summer, and this is a great way to kick off the season. COVID and last year’s fires took a toll on all of us, so I think everyone wants to get out and enjoy life.”
More than 30 regional brewers are expected to attend, “We are looking forward to a strong turnout of brewers. They are telling us that our Brewfest is one of their favorites, and that they are looking forward to returning.”
Along with beer, there will be several food trucks and live music in McFadden Plaza.
All proceeds benefit the Rotary Club of Carson City’s youth programs and scholarships.
Tickets are priced at $35.00 in advance and $40.00 at the gate. They will go on sale in early May.
