Carson City sheriff’s log: Man jailed after allegedly taking roommate’s pills to 'get high'
A 22-year-old Carson City man was arrested Tuesday and faces of a gross misdemeanor charge of possession of dangerous drugs without a prescription and two misdemeanor charges, using a dangerous drugs to induce euphoria and petit larceny, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
According to the arrest report, the man allegedly ingested a handful of Xanax pills, approximately 30, 2mg pills, that belonged to his roommate. He was taken to the hospital after officers found him semi responsive. The man said he didn’t intend to harm himself and that he took the pills because he was “trying to get high,” the arrest report states. The roommate asked that charges be filed against the man for the theft of the pills. Bail: $3,989.
— A 33-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Wednesday, 4:38 a.m. at a casino in the 900 block of Carson Street. She faces a misdemeanor charge of probation violation. According to the arrest report, the woman had been drinking in violation of conditions through the Department of Alternative Sentencing. Bail: $3,000.
— A 21-year-old Carson City man was arrested Wednesday, 1:52 a.m. at a casino in the 500 block of North Carson Street on a misdemeanor charge, violation of a suspended sentence. The man was on alternative sentencing and had a “no drinking” clause. He had a preliminary breath test of .156. Bail: $1,000.
— A 30-year-old Carson City man was arrested Tuesday, 11:03 p.m. on a misdemeanor charge, violation of a suspended sentence. According to the arrest report, the man was in a casino drinking in violation of alternative sentencing conditions. He had a .170 BAC. Bail: $1,000.
— A 66-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Tuesday, 8:23 p.m. in the 1400 block of Old Hot Springs Road on suspicion of DUI. According to the arrest report, a witness reported the DUI and said he observed the woman driving a red Nissan erratically nearly causing an accident. Officers located the vehicle and spoke with the driver who was unsteady on her feet and smelled of alcohol. She was arrested on suspicion of DUI and chose to have a blood draw. Bail; $1,137.
— A 22-year-old Carson City man was booked into Carson City jail tuesday on a warrant, contempt of court, issued March 24, out of Douglas-Tahoe Justice Court. Bail: $10,000.
— A 21-year-old Carson City man was arrested Tuesday, 8:40 a.m. in the 400 block of Lee Street on a misdemeanor charge, possession of drug paraphernalia, a meth pipe. Bail: $1,132.
Those arrested and facing charges are innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
