Carson City Humane Society's Pet of the Week: Velcro
Happy Wednesday, Carson City! I hope you're enjoying the bit of sun this morning, and one way to make it even better is a new friend!
Say hello to Velcro.
Velcro has been in the shelter waiting for his forever home for the past 70 days and counting.
This 12-year-old senior is a former barn cat who was brought into the shelter after his owner passed away. Velcro is declawed and a staff pick because he is a total lovebug after he gets to know you.
We spoke to Velcro and here’s what he meowed to us:
“I'm a retired barn cat, those days are over for me. However, I can still be a bit temperamental. I may be cautious when we meet, but it's only because I take my time getting to know people. Commitment can be hard, right? I'm independent and bold, but it can take a minute for that to show. I am highly food motivated and enjoy treats and wet food. Throw in my talkative nature, and you'll love every bit of me!”
Velcro is free to adopt as he is a senior and a member of the Lonely Hearts Club. He hopes you’ll come to meet him soon!
You can meet Velcro by visiting the Carson City branch of the Nevada Humane Society located at 549 Airport Road in Carson City, or by calling (775) 887-2171 to find out more.
