Carson City sheriff's deputies arrest man for drunken pedestrian, warrant
A 24-year-old was arrested Monday for a misdemeanor court warrant and for being a drunken pedestrian, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report.
A deputy was patrolling the area of East Telegraph Street and observed a male subject punch a window covering at a restaurant, then walked into the roadway while holding a beer and began yelling and cussing, according to the report.
The deputy circled back and began watching the subject. The man continued yelling profanities and was walking in the public roadway on East Telegraph. An unrelated female approached the deputy said she was concerned about the male's disorderly behavior, the report states.
The deputy made contact with the male, who appeared heavily intoxicated. The officer could smell a strong odor of alcohol coming his person, his speech was slurred and his eyes were bloodshot. A records check showed the man to have a confirmed warrant. He was placed under arrest. Bail: $172.
