Carson City Board of Supervisors OK plan to rezone 1 acre lots, creating 28 new homes
The Carson City Board of Supervisors voted in favor of Bill No. 104, which rezoned an area on the northeast corner of Silver Sage Drive and Clearview Drive from Single Family One Acre to Single Family 6,000 square feet.
This will create 28 new homes on 6,000 square foot lots, as opposed to the current 1 acre lots the area was zoned for on the 5.27 acre parcel.
“I trust our staff,” said Supervisor Stan Jones. “I think the information they provided was accurate, and I thank them for it.”
City staff found that the proposed rezoning did not conflict with the city’s master plan for medium density development.
The rezoning was passed 4-1 with Supervisor Maurice White voting “no.”
