Carson City Juvenile Services host gang awareness, prevention workshops in Spanish and English
With gang activity surfacing this year that resulted in acts of violence, Juvenile Services hopes to bring awareness to the community about vulnerabilities to violence and ways to solve problems.
The workshops are designed around how to keep families and children educated and safer by talking about real issues with real people working to solve problems that lead to and create gang violence, said Ali Banister, Chief of Juvenile Services in Carson City.
This class will be taught in Spanish and English in the classroom located at Juvenile Probation, 740 S. Saliman Road in Carson City.
