Snowy scenes around Carson City
Better late than never.
Snow has blanketed the Eagle Valley at last this winter, providing peaceful snowscapes around the Nevada state capital.
Winter storms pummeled Northwestern Nevada and Northeastern California late this week, dropping feet in the mountains and several inches down in the valleys.
The National Weather Service in Reno forecasts scattered snow showers later Saturday afternoon with a high temperature of 35 degrees.
Snow showers are likely after 5 p.m. Saturday, the NWS reports, an eighty percent chance of precipitation.
Overnight low is forecast for about 16 degrees. Sunday weather should be mostly sunny and cold with a high of around 39 degrees, the NWS reports.
