Douglas County is excited to announce the selection of Wendy Lang as its new Assistant County Manager. Lang brings nearly 11 years of experience with Douglas County, including nine years as the Director of Human Resources.

The Lyon County Board of County Commissioners held a special meeting on Friday, November 15, 2024, to finalize the canvass of votes for the 2024 General Election.

The Board certified the election results, marking the conclusion of the democratic process for the county's participation in the statewide election. With the passing of Chef Charlie Abowd, Saturday, the food drive he and Steve Funk, KNVC 95.1 FM Radio's general manager, kicked off Nov. 9, has been renamed the KNVC and Chef Charlie Abowd Memorial Turkey Drop Food Drive. The event will take place annually.
