Carson City School Board to discuss natural gas pipelines, policy changes to compulsory attendance age and more
The Carson City School Board meeting will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 27 beginning at 6:30 p.m. inside the Bob Crowell Board Room at the Community Center.
Among the agenda items:
— Trustees will discuss and possibly approve three Southwest Gas Easements for Mark Twain Elementary School, Steve West Freemont Elemenatry School and Carson Middle School. If approved, this authorizes SWG to install and maintain a natural gas pipeline or pipelines at these three schools.
— A discussion of the annual report from Carson High School on programs and supports for students and celebrations.
— Trustees will discuss proposed changes to the Carson City School District policy 503 that involves compulsory attendance ages and possibly approve.
— A presentation will be given on budget assumptions for the Carson City School District for fiscal year 2024-2025.
— Approval of the routine consent agenda.
