Carson City Rotary Club to host music competition for local students
The Rotary Club of Carson City is looking for talented young musicians to take part in the club’s annual music contest.
The contest is open to students in the 9th-12th grades, or 14-18 years of age for home schooled or non-traditionally schooled students.
The first round takes place on Tuesday, February 21st, at noon at the Brewery Arts Center.
Students have the opportunity to take home cash prizes of $100 for 1st place, $75 for 2nd place and $50 for 3rd place.
All musical instruments are welcome. The student needs to perform for 3 to 8 minutes. There are three rounds to the competition.
The winner, as well as those from other Rotary Clubs will compete at the Area Contest on March 21st.
The winner of the Area Contest will go on to compete at the District contest on April 29th.
